The global prevalence of superficial mycotic infections, particularly caused by dermatophytes, is alarmingly high at 20-25%. This rising trend of cutaneous dermatophytosis, notably observed in India, underscores the pressing need for effective antifungal solutions. Current evidence indicates that microscopic remnants of pathogenic dermatophytes can persist on fabric surfaces for over 26 days, thereby posing a significant risk for recurrence and cross-infection among individuals, particularly within family settings. Active Ingredients:
Cetrimide (0.5% w/w) Quaternary ammonium compound with antiseptic and fungicidal properties. Effective against dermatophytes, Candida species, and Aspergillus species. Chlorhexidine Gluconate (0.1% w/w) Broad-spectrum disinfectant with proven fungicidal activity against various fungal species including dermatophytes and Candida. Neem Bark Extract Natural antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Effective against eczema and ringworm infections. Haridra Extract Curcuma longa extract that eliminates toxins and relieves microbial infections with anti-inflammatory properties.
How to Use:
To be used as recommended as a pre-wash anti-fungal solution. The primary use is targeted to disinfection of the clothes of the person infected with Tinea infection, where the clothes have the scrapings of fungal isolates or fungal remnants. Step-by-step Process: Soak the infected clothes in 20 litres of water (approximately 8-10 garments) separately in a bucket Add 10ml of SOAK IT solution to the bucket of water Leave the clothes to soak for 30 minutes to ensure effective disinfection Take out the clothes, rinse with water, then put the clothes in the washing machine for a regular wash Dry clothes in warm, dry air or direct sunlight for optimal results
